Applications for the 2026 Taipei City Trade Promotion Subsidy Program for Industrial and Commercial Organizations and Enterprises

Applications for the 2026 Taipei City Trade Promotion Subsidy Program for Industrial and Commercial Organizations and Enterprises will be accepted from March 2, 2026 to April 7, 2026.

1. Application Period:
From March 2, 2026 to April 7, 2026.

2. Project Implementation Period:
From January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

3. In response to the expanded subsidy measures relating to U.S. tariffs, the subsidy categories, eligibility requirements, subsidized items and funding ceilings, subsidy review criteria, and the formula for calculating subsidy reductions are detailed in the attached documents.

4. Eligibility Requirements:

(1) Industrial and commercial organizations:
Refers to industrial and commercial organizations legally registered in Taipei City in accordance with the Industrial Associations Act, the Commercial Group Act, and other relevant laws and regulations, with their tax registration also located in Taipei City. However, this does not include government agencies, schools, political parties, administrative corporations, their subordinate units, or organizations for which such entities are the principal shareholders or donors.

(2) Enterprises:
Refers to profit-seeking enterprises duly registered in Taipei City in accordance with the Company Act, the Business Registration Act, or the Limited Partnership Act. However, branches or foreign companies registered in Taipei City are excluded.

(3) In 2026, each industrial or commercial organization or enterprise may apply for no more than two projects in total in principle, and the same exhibition may not be applied for more than once.

(4) Where an industrial or commercial organization organizes a delegation to participate in an exhibition, member enterprises based in Taipei City may still apply for subsidies under this program as an individual enterprise or as a member of another industrial or commercial organization, provided they participate in a different international in-person exhibition.

(5) Applicants directly or indirectly affected by U.S. tariffs must submit supporting documentation, such as evidence of canceled or postponed orders by customers, customer requests to absorb tariff costs, returned shipments, or other concrete facts demonstrating the impact.

(6) If the content of the application has already received subsidies from domestic or foreign government agencies, or is part of a commissioned project funded by government agencies, public schools, or state-owned enterprises, it may not apply for or receive duplicate subsidies under this program.

5. Subsidy Categories:

(1) Overseas exhibitions:
Refers to international in-person exhibitions in which exhibitors come from three or more countries or regions (including Taiwan).

(2) Domestic exhibitions:
Refers to international in-person exhibitions held in Taiwan and published in the Global Exhibition Database of the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs ([link]).

6. Eligible Subsidized Items:
Venue rental fees and booth setup/decorating expenses.

7. Subsidy Amounts:

(1) Overseas exhibitions:

  1. Industrial and commercial organizations:
    A maximum subsidy of NT$80,000 per Taipei City-based participating enterprise, with a maximum of NT$1,000,000 per project.

  2. Individual enterprises:
    A maximum subsidy of NT$80,000 per project.

  3. Additional subsidy for those affected by U.S. tariffs:

    (1) Industrial and commercial organizations:
    Among their Taipei City-based participating member enterprises, those directly or indirectly affected by U.S. tariffs may receive a maximum subsidy of NT$100,000, while those not affected may receive a maximum subsidy of NT$80,000. The maximum subsidy per project is NT$1,200,000.

    (2) Individual enterprises:
    A maximum subsidy of NT$100,000 per project.

(2) Domestic exhibitions:

  1. Industrial and commercial organizations:
    A maximum subsidy of NT$40,000 per Taipei City-based participating enterprise, with a maximum of NT$400,000 per project.

  2. Individual enterprises:
    A maximum subsidy of NT$40,000 per project.

(3) The total budget for this program is NT$30 million. Applications will be approved on a selective basis until the program budget is exhausted.

8. Reimbursement and Verification Notes:
For exhibitions attended by subsidized entities that conclude after December 5 of the current year, reimbursement and verification must be completed with this Department no later than January 5 of the following year. Failure to do so by the deadline will result in no disbursement.

  2. Taipei Online Services ([link]) → Homepage / By Agency / Department of Economic Development / “Taipei City Trade Promotion Subsidy Program for Industrial and Commercial Organizations and Enterprises”.

(2) Applications for this program must be submitted through Taipei Online Services ([link]) only. Applicants must complete the required information and upload the application forms and supporting documents within the application period.
